SevaNagar is built to be a trusted, local marketplace. We keep the data we collect to the minimum needed to run the service, and we never sell it.

Who we are

SevaNagar is operated by [CONFIRM: legal entity name, e.g. "Vardhan M Hegde, trading as SevaNagar" or a registered company name], based in Sirsi, Karnataka, India.

What we collect

• Email address — used to send you a one-time login code (OTP) and to keep you signed in. We do not currently collect a phone number for login; SMS OTP login is planned for later.
• Profile details you choose to add — display name, phone number, WhatsApp number, and your preferred language (Kannada, Hindi or English). All of these are optional.
• Listing details you publish — title, category, description, price, location, WhatsApp number and photos. These are public by design so that people nearby can find and contact you.
• Photos you choose to upload— added through your device's file picker (which may include your camera) when you attach photos to a listing.
• Usage and session analytics — we use Microsoft Clarity, Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how the site is used and to fix problems. Microsoft Clarity records anonymised session replays (clicks, scrolling and page navigation) and heatmaps. Clarity is configured to mask typed text[CONFIRM: confirm "Strict" masking is enabled in the Clarity project dashboard], so form fields like your email or login code are not intended to be recorded as plain text. These tools, and our hosting provider, also see standard technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type.

Cookies and similar technology

SevaNagar itself does not set tracking cookies. To keep you signed in, your login session is stored in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie. Our analytics providers (Microsoft Clarity, Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights) may use cookies or similar browser storage as part of how they operate; please see their own privacy policies for details.

What we never do

We do not sell your data, and we do not show third-party ads.

Who we share data with

• Supabase — hosts our database, login system and photo storage. All the data listed above passes through Supabase.
• Vercel — hosts the SevaNagar website, and provides the analytics tools described above.
• Microsoft Clarity — provides the session-recording and heatmap analytics described above.
• WhatsApp (Meta)— when you tap a “Contact on WhatsApp” or “Book appointment” button, you leave the SevaNagar site and open a chat directly with the other person on WhatsApp. That conversation is between you and them, governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy — SevaNagar does not see or store the messages you exchange there.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account and profile information for as long as your account is active. If you delete a listing, its details and photos are removed from the marketplace. If you delete your account, your account data is removed within 30 days.

Where your data lives

SevaNagar is hosted on Supabase and Vercel. Access rules are intended to ensure that only the owner of a listing can edit or delete it.

Your choices

You can hide or delete your own listings at any time from your account page. Account deletion is not yet a self-service feature — to delete your account and associated data, contact us using the details below and we will action your request within 30 days. You can also ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, or to correct it.

Who can use SevaNagar

SevaNagar is intended for users aged 18 and above.
